Narrator: Dr. Meek and Dr. Tasch at 38th Street Dental are experts in complex restorations. And they've been providing patients in the Austin area with a superior level of dental care for decades.
Dr. Tasch: Dr. Meek and I started this practice just when we graduated from dental school in 1997 and have just grown the practice over the past 20 years.
Dr. Meek: Our practice's core values are based around the idea that dental treatment is an extremely personal and private thing. And the solution that's right for one person is likely not right for the next.
Dr. Tasch: Treat other people as you wish to be treated.
Narrator: A patient's dental experience is extremely important. And we keep this in mind at each and every visit.
Dr. Meek: We don't specialize in treatment of just the easiest things, but instead, we work to treat the whole person. And when we're talking about treatment plans that are significant amounts of money, the assurance that we have the experience and technical expertise to justify these expenditures is very important.
Narrator: This is a private practice and Dr. Meek and Dr. Tasch are the only two dentists that work here. This gives our patients a sense of consistency and the ability to develop a close relationship with their dentist over a long period of time.
Dr. Tasch: People will often comment that their experience from the first point of contact on a phone call, to when they walk out with their walkout statement that they felt comfortable and well cared for.
Alice: Everybody knows me by name. And when I come in, I feel welcomed. I feel like part of their, you know, extended family.
Cindy: They are so personable, so knowledgeable, and they really listen to you and connect.
Judith: I feel like that says a lot about the fact that they work as a team.
Dr. Meek: We do care for the whole person. When you restore someone's smile, what do you restore? You restore their confidence, their self-esteem.

Dr. Tasch: The sense of reward that you get actually is when you have somebody come back to the office that you haven't seen in 10 or 15 years, and their dentistry is still functioning and performing well. It's something that they'll get to enjoy and benefit from for a long time.
Dr. Meek: I know that most of you come to the dentist with a great deal of trepidation and fear. And it makes me very proud that I can help coach you through an injection or a procedure that is threatening or scary. And have you sit up at the end and say, "Gosh, Doc, that wasn't so bad." Or "Gosh, that wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be." That's a good day at work.
