I was raised by an engineer and I grew up designing and building anything from go-karts, to lawnmowers, to picnic benches, and anything else that you can come up with. So when it came time to just start deciding on a career, something working with my hands seemed to make the most sense. Since then, after completing dental school and entering the profession of dentistry, it became plain to me that implant reconstruction most certainly married to my early lifetime experiences best and it's why I enjoy implant reconstruction the most out of the types of care that I deliver at 38th Street Dental.
The thing that I enjoy most about being a dentist is the joy that I feel when I realize that we have, in fact, helped restore a patient's quality of life. My most favorite type of case is a trauma case, because those people didn't plan to have their teeth knocked out. And the most restoring thing that you can do for a person who's been involved in an accident is to give them their smile back. And the times in dentistry when I've cried the most and I felt the most joy had been the times when the patients have looked at their new teeth and they've said to me, "Thank you, Doctor. I feel whole again." That's the most special feeling that dentistry can bring. And it's the feeling that you've given someone their personality back, the thing that validates who they are and that's their smile.
