Restorative Dentistry
What Is Restorative Dentistry?
While cosmetic dentistry is a type of dentistry that focuses on the aesthetics of your smile, restorative dentistry is a field of dentistry that focuses on improving the health and function of your teeth and gums.
Restorative dental treatments can repair compromised teeth, replace missing teeth, or rehabilitate an unstable bite. Our treatments can also fortify your teeth to prevent additional damage. If you struggle with any of the following oral health conditions, you can benefit from restorative dentistry at our Austin, TX, dental office:
- Dental decay
- One or more missing teeth
- A cracked tooth
- A weak or eroded tooth
- An infected tooth
- Gum disease
During your consultation, our dentists will perform a thorough examination to identify your dental needs and recommend the appropriate restorative dentistry treatments.

Patients Love Our Dental Team and Their Results
Great experience from start to finish. First time visiting the dentist since the pandemic and I selected the right office. Nice use of technology to make the appointment convenient and wonderful people every step of the patient journey.

They don't treat you like the typical no-name patient; they treat you like one of their own and make you feel special... I have received better care and better prices here (ie. lower cost out of pocket) than my In-Network Dental plan, which I no longer use. I highly recommend 38th Street Dental.

Our dentists provide a variety of restorative dentistry treatments at their Austin, TX, dental office, including:
Dental Implants
Titanium dental implants will fuse with your jawbone and replace your tooth roots. Our dentists will work with a specialized oral surgeon or periodontist for implant placement. Then they will fabricate a custom-made implant-supported crown, denture, or bridge to top the implant and replace the entire missing tooth. Implants are extremely stable and prevent bone loss in the jaw.
Fillings
If you have a small or medium-sized cavity, we will typically recommend a filling. However, instead of a traditional metal filling, which can eventually start to show through your tooth, we will provide a tooth-colored filling made from composite resin. Not only will it match your smile, but it will also bond to your tooth more securely.
Dental Crowns
A damaged or decayed tooth can be reinforced with a dental crown. Our crowns are made from quality materials like IPS e.max® and are designed to look natural and withstand daily grinding forces. A crown can also be supported by a dental implant to completely restore a single missing tooth.
We only recommend treatments that will truly benefit you for years to come. If you want to whiten or beautify your smile, we also offer cosmetic dentistry treatments to help you achieve your goals. No matter which treatments you receive, our dentists will work carefully and meticulously to provide personalized care and outstanding results.
Providing Five-Star Restorative Dentistry to Our Austin Patients
Always a five-star. I've been seeing Dr. Meek for years and he, as well as his office staff, are excellent.
I have to say that the entire office staff is very friendly and professional and that the phrase “I hate to go to the dentist” doesn’t apply here.
