2014 Bicon VIP Meeting-Dr. Meek Presents to International Audience

I had the distinct honor of being asked to present some of the reconstructive work that Dr. Steve Widner and I have been working on this past weekend at the 2014 Bicon VIP Meeting in Boston.  Hosted at The Harvard Club, the event as attended by over 200 surgeons from Europe, Canada, the United States, and South America.  It was a two day symposium presenting the latest research on both biomaterials and biologic considerations for the Bicon dental implant.  

My presentation was concerning the failure of an implant supporting a full arch restoration.  The loss of one implant can cause the loss of the whole prosthesis which makes this a very interesting topic for those of us involved in full arch restorations.  I was pleased to be received as positively as I was and proud to demonstrate the creative thinking we employed to save a very expensive prosthesis.  Said one participant,"this was a very clever means to save the prosthesis!"
